Was abit expensive but surprisingly good. Really liked the squid and also the abalone rice.
This old restaurant is a legend to maintain the integrity of pot rice and olden Japanese style decoration. You can easily find its 40 years old age in your fitst visit. Seafood and mushroom pot is the main dish, nutritious and warming, healing food for your body and soul. The taste of pot rice is up and down sometimes. I wish this place lasts long as an old fan.
If you’re exploring Insadong and looking for an authentic Korean meal, Jogeum (조금) is a must-visit. I had their sotbap (솥밥), and it was absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with rich, earthy flavors and perfectly cooked rice with crispy edges at the bottom — the signature charm of a well-made sotbap. There was a bit of a wait during lunch hour, but it was totally worth it. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and beautifully presented dishes made the entire experience memorable. If you don’t mind a short wait, I highly recommend it. I waited — and ate so deliciously. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Insadong. I’ll be coming back for sure!
